2. From your Associate Minister of Religious Education

Over the summer, many families travel — so as you’d expect there aren’t as many people at UUCPA. However, we do have program for kids, and when you are in town I think you’ll find UUCPA is a fun place to be.

I love being a part of summer Sunday school when I’m in town. During summer Sunday school, Edie Keating organizes fun activities for children entering gr. K-6 that feel more like summer camp than Sunday school. This provides more social time for kids to get to know each other, and for us adults to get to know the kids better.

Activities for other age groups are less formal. As I write this, the Senior High youth Group is planning at least one social event over the summer, and in past years the middle school group has had a social event. Watch your email for notice of such events (and make sure I have your family email address in the CYRE database).

UUCPA is a fun, social, and relaxing place to be during the summer. I’ll be away visiting family from late June through late July, but when I’m in town this summer, you can bet I’ll be at UUCPA!

See you soon,
Rev. Dan Harper
